Socks

A long time ago, at least a year ago, Bravie recommended Spanx socks to me. At least I think it was Bravie. So I bit the bullet and bought a pair. They cost $10 for one pair. I thought it was completely outrageous, but I must have been in a spending mood. So I got the pair, and they became my favorite socks. So much that I wore a hole in one, at the toes. That's ok, I kept on wearing them, just tucking that little whole under, so that my tootsie wouldn't stick out. Last week I was in a spending mood again, so this time I bought 3 pairs. Black, Brown and chino. I needed some socks right away, so when I was at Target I bought a 3 pack for $4.99. They even said "fuller leg". I figured that would be cool, but they totally dug into my shin anyway. I was in major pain after wearing a pair all day. All I kept thinking was, when are my Spanx gonna get here?

They arrived today! I am happy! My legs are happy too. *jumps around*

What recent purchase are you happy about? LIke maybe buying a banana costume or something?

I bought Spanx nylons while I was pregnant and I adored them.

Yesterday I went to Kohl's and they had el-cheapo socks on sale. I bought 12 pairs of wacky design socks. Including Halloween socks!

I bought some new dress socks a few weeks ago but I don't really like them. :( They're too thin and come up too high on my leg.

I can't think of anything I've bought lately that I was happy about. Besides, groceries, I can't think of anything I've bought in a long time. I bought a candy thermometer so I can make candy apples. Does that count?

Fro-I saw those at Kohls. I thought about buying some, but usually they don't go high enough for me.

MTW-You need a candy thermometer to make candy apples? Well, it counts if you make some for me.

I love fun socks. My best recent purchase was:
A vitmin supplement thing normally $14.99. Sale price $12.99. Buy one get one free. $5 coupon. Rewards card special: receive $5 off on future purchase for each one purchased. Sooooo, normally, it would have cost me $30. I paid $8 and I'm getting $10 back on my next purchase at the drug store.

I didn't know Spanx made socks! How are they better/different?

MM, the top part of the sock stays up without digging into your leg. Plus they are a bit longer. It really annoys me when my socks fall down. Also they are made of a soft material, that almost seems like tights.

I will have to investigate these socks as well. I hate pulling socks up constantly.

Tonight, 20/20 featured a segment on Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx. She has a new line of bras out, called "Bra-llelujah."
