eta: I took a better picture with my camera. You can see it much better now.So we have always wanted to have a mural painted in the little inset between the kids rooms. Our painter recommended a lady who does murals, so she came over to discuss it. I had no preconceived notions about it, but after she asked some questions about it, we decided on a tropical theme. Devon wanted dolphins (jumping up by the sun), and Marisa wanted horses (there are 3 little ones bottom left), so they each got their wish as well. I wanted the sunrise.

Very pretty! I think things like that give a home character. I think it's cool that the kids got to contribute ideas to it as well.
Can you paint some penguins and chocolate pudding in there for me?
I considered putting in some chocolate croissants, and of course some cheese, but got vetoed.

The mural is beautiful! We had a mural in our previous home and I loved it. I'd have a mural in every room if I could.
