NO, not that kind, sadly.
Devon was at the first meet of the season on Saturday. He did well. 2 personal best times, and 1 more within 98% of his best time. The coaches challenged them to get both of those, and they would get points. If they achieved a certain level of combined points, they would get to play water polo instead of practice. The kids rose to the challenge, accumulating enough points to earn them 1 1/2 hours of water polo! LOL, what they don't realize is that playing waterpolo is great exercise as well, strengthening your core muscles.
The swim clinic was fantastic. Jenny Thompson is a genuinely nice person. I had the opportunity to chat with her for just a couple of minutes. Plus watching her interact with the kids was great, especially for the girls. What a super couple of role models we had at the pool this weekend!
I already posted an update about Don is the prior post comments, so I'm not going to rehash THAT again.
How was your weekend?

That's very cool that the kids got to hang out with Jenny Thompson. I didn't know she was a doctor! Wow! How did she find the time???
*hugs* Because I know it's hard to keep Don in your life. Know your friends here support you.
*hugs from me, too*
Good to have the swimming in your lives.
*hugs*
I thought about you this morning. I went for a swim. A very long swim. My shoulders are killing me. I was in the pool for an hour. I would swim a lap, then kind of walk/run a lap. Gotta start somewhere, and I think doing that for an hour was pretty good.
