I hate allergies and school supplies

I have been sneezing all day. I even took a dang allergy pill. Unsure if it is August allergies, a cold, or due to the dust created by the electrician who installed a strobe light fire alarm in my office this morning. Stoopid fire marshall guy. I think he has it out for us. I do usually have more allergy attacks during April & August. So far this month it has been nearly nonexistant. I figured the anti oxidant stuff I was taking this summer really did help. So much for that.

Happy Monday. Last night DD commented on how weekends always go by so fast, and that they should be longer. Couldn't agree more. So far I have no reasons to leave work early this week. *sigh*

Yesterday we spent 1 1/2 hours at Walmart buying school supplies. $150 down the drain. We even had a few things that we could reuse. By the time we left, I noticed that each kid had somehow managed to finagle a few extra things they really didn't need either.

Now I know why we always have done School Pak before. I think I would have saved money in the end. But then I wouldn't have had that wonderful bonding experience with my kids. (end sarcasm)

What's School Pak?

Prepackaged school supplies. They are a bit more expensive, but I really wonder if they are, after you factor in the time you spend shopping, gas, and the extra money you spend buying those extras the kids see and want.

I have so many unused school supplies from over the years. Each year, we bought the specials for something like 10 cents or 20 cents and I still have most of them.

LOL, good point about the prepacked school supplies. I hadn't considered that angle!

Don't let Augie see that you hate school supplies. those are one of her passions. She's a weirdo. *grin*

Every time I take Conner to any store with me, I end up with things I don't need.
